We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the newly formed Church Lawford Footbal Club. The club has been formed to give the young lads (and those not so young!) from the village the opportunity to play their part in getting Church Lawford on the map and engendering an improved community spirit.

Can we start by giving a big thank you to the staff and management team at The Old Smithy for their sponsorship by supplying the kit and to the Village Fete Committee / Parish Council for their kind donation towards our league registration fees.

We also received a grant from the Royal Mail to purchase matchballs, nets and flags - a big thanks to them as well!

Special thanks go out to Phil Brough, Angela Foran and Alan Foran, who showed enormous passion, resilience and community spirit in bringing to fruition.

The club has registered with the Coventry & Warwickshire League and will play their games on Saturdays between September and April.

So who's involved from the village:

Players:

Ralph Wilkinson
Richard Grant
Tom Doubleday
Howard Kearsley
Gavin King
Ian Jones
Linesman: Danny Mallinson

Coach:Barry Wilkinson

Secretary:Angela Foran

Assistant Manager:Alan Foran

Club Manager:Phil Brough

If you are interested in being part of our future success, please contact Phil Brough or Alan Foran.

Finally, come along and support your local team!

Many thanks

Ian Jones and Spit
